  2. Even though you wrote the letters to a specific group of people, when I heard about what you were doing, it somehow felt as though I too were associated with your words and sentiments – as though I too had sent the letters and that I too had received them.

  9. Oh, the sweet pleasures of writing and receiving letters . . .

You've outdone Jane Austen ("she receives letters because she writes letters" in Pride and Prejudice)!

Where are you now? If you posted your mail address I'd send you a letter . . .

  11. A lovely idea to connect with people but sad that some found it frightening. Simple human contact frightens some people today.

Keep going and change the world with kindness!

    You could start a letter-bombardment, love-sending movement
    Just brilliant

  14. This is such a beautiful idea!

I love letters & write a lot of them. I receive some too ;)

The internet is great but... 4 post offices closed near me in the last year...

People: don't forget to write letters!

  15. I love this. I did this same kind of thing in the late 90s with world leaders, Fortune 500 CEOs and etc. I talk about it in the intro to my book, Letters to J. D. Salinger. See www.jdsalinger.com. Not trying to make a shameless plug, but this really is relevant. :)

  18. I personally really love this idea.

And I wonder why there seems to be no comments here from anybody in Cushendall?

  19. This is incredible!! It must have taken you guys forever to complete all of those letters!!!

    I would LOVE a letter...:(

I wish more of the population would join in...Everyone could be sending out random letters of kindness with no-strings-attached & maybe actually receive one back!!!

We need more people like you in the world, thanks for brightening my day in hopes that I may get a letter (emails DO NOT count~so impersonal) one day...

    ~will be following~
